About Us
Jody Billeaud
Jody has been renovating houses for 30 years. First for herself and then for others. She is a North Carolina Licensed General Contractor and Realtor. Over the years, she has built a network of reliable and trustworthy subcontractors that are as close as family. Working with the same network of subs gives Jody the advantage of consistent, high quality projects time after time. In her free time she loves to travel, read, and spend time with her wife and two daughters.
Emilee Billeaud
Emilee started out her career in the medical field, completing her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at UNC in 2011. Over the years, her love of renovations and new construction has grown into working closely with architects and structural engineers to design and manage new construction projects. Emilee is spearheading BH Renovation's subsidiary, SMALLISH, that specializes in helping Durham homeowners navigate the process for designing, permitting, and building Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU) in their backyard, all while continuing to work part time as a physical therapist. In her free time, Emilee loves to spend time on the screened porch with her wife and two daughters, garden, and dabble in ceramics with her pottery wheel.
Little Billeauds J and E
The kids love to watch the big machines on the jobsite. They occasionally accompany their moms to sight check ins and will be very capable homeowners one day with all of the knowledge they're gathering about houses. We'd love for them to follow in our footsteps and get involved in construction project management themselves but they'll likely forge their own path (as most kids do). Currently J (4 years old) wants to be an artist and E (2 years old) wants to be a unicorn.
